Unfortunately, Zest is not a 24-hour emergency response
organisation. However, we do recognise that thoughts of self-harm or
suicide can arise at any hour of the day or night and it is important
to us to do what we can even outside of our normal working hours.
- Firstly, the Samaritans provide a listening ear service twenty four hours a day. Locally, in Derry City, their number is 028 71265511. Nationally, you can call 08457 90 90 90 (UK) or 1850 60 90 90 (ROI) for the number of the Samaritans closest to you.
- You may feel the need to access the out-of-hours General Practitioner (G.P) service provided by the health service. If so, you should contact your local G.P.
- We hope, too, that some of the resources provided on this side will be of help. If you find the time to read the different sections you may find some useful resources
- You can also present to the Accident & Emergency department of your local hospital.
